Turks and Caicos is tucked away between the long end of the Bahamas and the Hispaniola - the island of the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

In geographic terms, the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos share many common features. Comprising roughly 50 islands and cays, the Turks and Caicos have become quite popular in the past decade with more and more resorts popping up to meet demand.

With hundreds of miles of beaches and many convoluted inlets and bays, the Turks and Caicos have some of the world's best snorkeling and diving. Add to this the winter migration of the grey whale and the largest population of flamingos in the world, and you'll soon discover how intricately annealed the Turks and Caicos is to nature.

Located at the Sands Hotel and overlooking Grace Bay, Hemingway's has an awe-inspiring location. The food is surprisingly good - indeed, quite good - considering the stunning setting. At the Sands at Grace Bay on the north coast of Grace Bay.

Attractions

Little Water Cay
Nature trail system that also comprises numerous boardwalks and an observation tower. Site has become sanctuary home of the endangered rock iguana. Guaranteed to expand your color-vision's dictionary of blue. Part of the Princes Alexandra National Park just north of Providenciales.  

Caicos Conch Farm
This five acre aqua-farm raises Queen Conch for food and pearls. A guided tour offers visitors an overview of the operation. View the hatchery, nursery ponds, sea pens and processing facility. Located on the northeastern tip of Providenciales.
